What is the best way or product to use to clean around the inside of a trunk. This is the part between the weather strip and outside of body. Also under the
hood on the painted part. Any suggestions?

I just use the same wax that I do the whole car with.

Try using rubbing compound. It really helped on mine in that area. Use wax on the area when you get it cleaned up.

If it is dirt, grime and grease you are trying to rid, then go at it with a spray bottle of simple green or purple power degreaser diluted with water....about
1 to 1 or a little heavier on the degreaser side. Spray and wipe until your hearts content
Then once it is clean, use a simple wax to protect it and make it easier to
wipe off on future quick details.
If its the engine bay area....you might be better off spraying the inner fenders, shock towers and firewall with Engine Brite's Gunk Degreaser, then hosing it off with a hard stream. Just keep the water away from your coil packs and power distribution panel.....have the engine running while rinsing to help dry it off and keep the water out of places you don't want it. Very easy process, and believe it or not I did it under the hood of my '82 GT when I picked it up last summer. ![]() Saleen Club of America - Director, Central Region |

Follow up your clean engine bay with a nice coating of CD-2 Engine Detail Foam for that show ready shine. That stuff is the bomb!

Thanks for the tips. The under hood i already did the simple green, just needs a little shine now. The trunk is what i was most concerned about, it has water
stains from rain i guess. I'll try the rubbing compound on it. Thanks again. This is on the 07 we just got.

Hey Craig - I've never done it, but I heard that a mix of vinegar and water will remove the hard water stains. That might be easier than trying to use
compound in that crevice.

Jason, Whwere do you get your CD2 Engine Detail Foam? I've been told that this stuff is out of production. I'm not sure as to why because all I've
read about this stuff has been positive.

Sorry for the late response Gary. For the past two years I have bought the stuff off the shelf at Autozone. I know its on the shelves in KY, and I believe I
have seen it here in Indy as well. If not luck, below is the place I have bought it in the past
